エラストグラフィに求められること

乳房画像診断においての超音波検査は、通常の乳腺疾患の診断だけでなく、生検のガイドとして使用されており、最近では乳癌検診での導入も検討されている。この乳房超音波検査の中で特筆すべき技術がエラストグラフィである。本稿は、このエラストグラフィに期待する著者の私見を述べさせていただきたい。
The breast ultrasound examination is very useful tool not only for a first step of breast diagnosis, but also the guide of biopsy, and the breast screening. The elastography is one of the most remarkable technique concerned with breast ultrasound examination. I mention to the present and future opinion for the elastography in this paper.
